Planting The Seeds

Today was planting day.

First, I filled my pots up with seedling mix:

I made a half-inch furrow in each with the end of a pen:

Then I dropped a seed (some of which had already started to sprout slightly after soaking) into each furrow and sprinkled mix lightly on top:

I watered each pot thoroughly, and left them in a transparent plastic box by the window:

Here's hoping they do. Only one has shown any signs of life so far. :/

But it's been quite a cold September. They're just biding their time.

Just remember that it's a weed. Once they grow, they'll wither and *die* if you give them too much love. That was always my dad's problem. There he was picking off the aphids by hand, watering them regularly etc, and they freaked out from the love and were just these small little nothing ones.

It's a long process. Sometimes you'll get every plant florishing, sometimes none.

Also, what is *with* you and girls' names?! xo

Oh! One ore thing: dogs *love* it. So if you have any four-legged visitors, put the plants up high, otherwise they'll dig in. No, really.

I knew that because there is a Peter Tosh song called 'Legalize It' in which he delineates all the people and things that love it. "Even the goats love it", he rhapsodizes...

...checks watch...

...are they done yet?

You can tell I was never any good at gardneing.
